With In The Crowd, Charlottetown’s Absolute Losers present the follow-up to their 2023 debut At The Mall, a record conceived in the strange stillness of lockdown. If their first album carried the intimacy and urgency of confinement, In The Crowd is its bold counterpoint — expansive, loud, and built to be shared with an audience.

Recorded at Palace Sound in Toronto with producer Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck), the new album pushes the band into bolder and more expressive territory. The sessions brought out a sound that is dynamic and muscular, with driving guitar lines, a rhythm section full of urgency, and performances that balance precision with raw emotional energy. Walsh’s production sharpens their edges without stripping away their grit.

Lyrically, bassist and vocalist Sam Langille draws deeply from memory and personal history — summers at his grandparents’ cottage in Flat River, stories from a post-war boatbuilding town, and the ways those experiences echo across generations. These narratives give the album a sense of place and authenticity, grounding its rock power in lived experience.

Together with guitarist Josh Langille and drummer/vocalist Daniel Hartinger, the trio deliver a record that channels both nostalgia and resilience, turning personal recollections into songs with universal resonance.

In The Crowd is not just a continuation, but a leap forward — a rock album that captures Absolute Losers at full strength, ready to bring their sound from the Maritimes to a wider world.
